The IRDA module

Build your own IRDA module.

The Project was to build a simple IRDA port, so that i could communicate with a PDA and/or a Mobile phone.
I used a IRDA device fra an old discarded mobile phone (a Nokia 7110). This IRDA is a type TFDU4100,
Serial Infrared Transceiver SIR, 115.2 kbit/s, 2.7 V to 5.5 V Operation, from Vishay Telefunken.
The IC can interface directly with almost all mainbords with an IRDA interface connector.
